Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Clifton Park residence on Lapp Road for an assault at around 1 p.m. Monday. March .
An investigation found that Nicholas Gidley, 34, intentionally injured another person by striking them over the head with a guitar, sheriff’s officials said. The instrument was considered a “deadly weapon or dangerous instrument,” according to deputies.
Gidley was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, a felony, and was later released on an appearance ticket to Clifton Park Town Court.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital for treatment of a laceration to their head. Authorities did not speculate on what led up to the alleged attack.
